Dusk Rises- Chapter 15
After making their way the stock standard concrete stairwell, Twilight and Jean found themselves in a stark white hallway with gold painted decorations lining the ceiling and floor. The few paintings that Twilight could see all looked very similar, and on closer inspection, discovered that they were all picture of former chancellors. The amplification spell was starting to wear off, causing it to become unstable; to the point where they could hear conversations happening through walls and behind closed doors. While convenient, considering what they were doing, it also made for a few awkward moments, such as when they walked past a bathroom.
Eventually the spell dissipated and left the two girls with nothing but a bit of luck and their own skills. Twilight took the lead, using her natural sense of direction to lead her through the labyrinthine hallways. The pure white walls were starting to get to her, however, giving her a severe feeling of nausea. Twilight closed her eyes for a moment
The Luna Diaries- Entry 5Dear Diary,
The trip to the observatory today was, in a word, fantastic. I "learnt" all about the stars, the planets and the rotation of the Earth. I'm not going to lie, seeing all of the other students in awe of the night and the endless expanse beyond their own comprehension made my ego inflate just a little. Even Sly, the colt I threw out of the window seemed impressed, which made it difficult not to gloat, or even correct the pony giving the tour when he was getting things wrong.
There was a pony near the rear of the tour that I hadn't noticed until then. She was a white Pegasus with a scarlet coloured mane. What was different about her was the fact that she almost always had a teacher near her, and I couldn't figure out why; so, curious, I decided to try and meet this mare. I discovered that her name was Aurora and, unbeknownst to me, she was blind. The teacher that was accompanying her was there to guide her and read the plaques as they were not written in something called 'brail
The Luna Diaries- Entry 4Dear Diary,
Today at school went much better then yesterday. Most ponies seemed to find it preferable to avoid me, which I cannot blame them for, the incident with the colt was deplorable. I know that now.
I saw him today… I actually learnt his name; Sly Starburn. The cast that he had on his right foreleg made it very difficult for him to flee when he noticed me approaching. The fear on his face didn't bring me the same pleasure that I thought it would. Before the nightmare, I liked seeing the fearful respect on the faces of my subjects, but the look that Sly gave me… It honestly broke my heart.
Even though Tia talked me out of the jewel encrusted horseshoe, I still felt obligated to give him something to say sorry. I came up with a box of chocolates at the suggestion of one of my personal guards. He reluctantly accepted it, but still asked me to stay away, promising that he wouldn't harass me anymore. I suppose that it IS what I wanted to happen, but the cost; Sly's broken bone, being
The Luna Diaries- Entry 3Dear Diary,
Just finished the first day of school and well… There was an incident. An Earth pony colt spent the first half of the day harassing me, calling me names, pushing me and other stuff. I tried to ignore it, but then he pulled my hair, and that was it. No pony touches the hair of a Princess and gets away with it.
I may have… thrown him out of the window. And then got a detention… at lunchtime… for a week. Tia was called into the school to 'discuss' my attitude. As soon as we got home, Celestia burst out laughing, making me feel totally embarrassed. I tried yelling at her, but my smaller form that was a result of my disguise only made her laugh harder. It wasn't long before I was laughing as well, rolling around on the floor of my bedroom.
It was nice to do that again, neither of us have done that in so long. Even after my return, things have been awkward between us. Dinner is a silent affair, where we do nothing but eat.
But that one moment, it was just like before, just like w
The Luna Diaries- Entry 2Dear Diary,
I am about to begin my first day of… ugh, high school. Tia believes that I am, as she put it, 'too cute.' I am not too certain. The black coat and purple mane seems fine, but the black rimmed glasses seem a bit too much for such a simple disguise. But I am assured that the glasses are essential.
While I do miss my horn, I always enjoyed flying so being a Pegasus seemed appropriate. Tia, in the disguise of my mother, has preferred the shape of a unicorn. Tia has organised everything, every single aspect, even my new name; Moonfire.
Shining Armour, captain of the royal guard, was the one who choose my new classes for me, apparently based on those that his younger sister found interesting and insightful. While I am grateful for the help, there are really only two subjects that I am looking forward to; History and Astronomy. The rest; Physics, Advanced Mathematics, Chemistry and one more. This one I got to choose myself, since Twilight Sparkle was having personal lessons from P
Equine Vampiris- Chapter 4She increased the pressure on the flesh, her face getting drenched with the delectable life force of her still breathing meal. She could feel the prey pounding on her flank with her hooves, struggling against her animal strength. She pulled away, its head hitting the floor with a soft thud. Twilight started to lick her hooves clean as the prey began to bleed out onto the lino floor. Her ears could still hear the faint sounds of breathing as it faded.
Twilight's tongue slid out and ran along the lino floor, cleaning up what was left of her meal as her prey twitched on the floor. Her eyes were wide and her mouth was open in an eternally silent scream. Twilight briefly contemplated letting her victim live, to use her again to sustain her longing hunger. Her blood was delicious, much better than that of the blue pony, far too much nitrogen in her blood. Her current source of food had obviously taken care of herself, and it showed in the taste.
With a loud clicking sound, the delicate gleam
Dusk Rises- Chapter 14
Twilight and Jean took up defensive stances as the armoured guard dropped his friend, drawing his sword and brandishing it nervously. Twilight was scared for Max's life. With him in his severely weakened state and with her and Jean not only injured, but also lacking their hidden blades, the coming fight was going to be very difficult. An audible sigh came from behind her and Panadol stepped in between them all, creating an awkward silence as she carefully tiptoed through the nests.
"Now look here; all of you! There is to be no fighting in my clinic. This is a place of healing, not pain, and do not forget that it is the Spring Festival. Now, I would like all of you to leave, I will tend to your friend and send him home," she said firmly. Twilight and the guard stared at each other for a moment, before nodding once and relaxing. The guard put their sword away, before stepping aside and gesturing for Twilight to walk in front of him. She walked out the door, keeping her eyes trained on hi
Equine Vampiris- Chapter 2Twilight started to hyperventilate as she stared at the tiny white points sinking into the bright red gums of her bottom jaw, leaving no trace save for a few drops of blood where they had broken through the flesh. The dim light coming off her horn went out, leaving Twilight in darkness. She started to panic, feverishly scouring her mind for anything remotely similar to what was happening to her.
'No no no.! Think Twilight. What have you done in the past month that might have caused your symptoms?' she wondered, breathing heavily as she pressed up against the wall of the bathroom, sliding down the tiles and sitting on the ground. She buried her head in her hooves, closing her eyes as the metallic taste of blood swirled around in her mouth.
She slowly got back to her hooves and made her way over to her bed, levitating the 'call nurse' button and pressing it repeatedly out of panic. Five minutes of button pressing later, nurse Redheart entered, flinging the door open and flooding t
